How can artificial intelligence help reducing waste generation with prevention, reduction, recycling and reuse tools?

Arthur is a young business school student in Lyon who is very concerned about environmental issues. As an active member of the CSR division of his association, he would like to promote the sorting and recycling of waste in his school. He knows, however, that this subject is quite delicate to deal with with the other students, who are quite indifferent to environmental issues. He then sought an innovative solution that would mark the minds and encourage others to sort their waste and realize the impact of mass consumption on the environment.

After a few search, He finds the website of the Canadian company 'Intuitive', which promotes Oscar, an interactive software equipped with artificial intelligence and capable of sorting waste itself.

Arthur submits the idea to the administration of his school, which immediately approves the project. Garbage cans equipped with Oscar software are then set up throughout the school. Two weeks later, Arthur recovers the data stored by the various Oscars and then notices a marked improvement in the sorting and recycling of waste, an idea confirmed by the teaching team, who say they are very happy to see clean corridors again. So not only did Oscar help make the campus healthier, but he also promoted and encouraged students to sort their waste. Arthur is delighted and intends to extend the idea to other schools, then to the municipality of Lyon and maybe to the whole country.

This small comics illustrates how Oscar can be useful in the reduction of waste and in the recycling process
